What to expect from our puppies...
Wolfalike dogs are found all over the world, some with a small amount of wolf content and some without. We have proudly been breeding Australian Wolfalike dogs since 2020.
A Wolfalike is a mixed breed dog, bred to resemble the wild looks of a wolf without the wild nature, ultimately to be a suitable family companion/pet.
Our dogs contain NO wolf content whatsoever. Most of our litters are high Siberian Husky content, also containing a variety of breeds depending on parentage including German Shepherd, Belgian Groenendael and Alaskan Malamute, with some litters even containing a small percentage of Samoyed, Akita and even Border Collie.
All of our dogs are Embark DNA tested so we know their exact breed make up and can provide that to our potential new puppy families.
While the Australian Wolfalike is ideally presented with traits from both and/or all of the breed mixes, all puppies are individual and some may carry more traits from one of the above mentioned breeds more so than others. We are transparent with discussing our dogs breed mixes with potential puppy families to ensure the puppy will be a good match.
Genetics play a huge role in how a puppy will turn out in relation to temperament, which we believe is JUST as important as health. We will never breed from dogs that are unnecessarily reactive, fearful, anxious or aggressive. We strive for bombproof, take anywhere kind of dogs that are a pleasure to be around.
We strongly suggest reading the parents profiles on our website to find out as much about them to get an idea of what their pups may be like, we also encourage you to ask us anything you'd like to know about them.
Being predominantly made up of working breeds, our pups do well in active homes. If their needs are not met, physically and mentally they can become destructive. Enrichment, training activities and brain games are a must!
Our pups are very pack orientated, they love to be included and close to their people or at least have a dog with similar energy levels for company when family is at work.
They’re incredibly intelligent, often sassy and have so much love to give - our focus at Dogs in Wolfsuits overall is producing excellent family pets who are biddable, sweet natured and can come anywhere with you.
