Do You Have a Waiting List?
Yes. If you are interested in welcoming a Dogs in Wolfsuits puppy in the future, we are happy to send you our application form so you can register your interest. Approved applications can be kept on file for consideration for suitable future litters.
To request an application form, please email us at dogsinwolfsuits@hotmail.com
Registering your interest does not guarantee placement, as our priority is always matching each individual puppy with the home we believe is best suited to their temperament and needs.
Do You Sell Puppies Interstate?
Absolutely. We have Dogs in Wolfsuits families throughout Australia and are happy to arrange interstate pet transport for approved, suitable homes.
We have established relationships with trusted pet transport companies that we work closely with to help make the journey and transition to your puppy’s new home as smooth and comfortable as possible.
We currently place our puppies within Australia only and do not send puppies overseas.
What Type of Home and Owner Should Consider a Dogs in Wolfsuits Puppy?
Dogs in Wolfsuits puppies are best suited to people who want their dog to be a genuine part of their family and are prepared to invest time into training, socialisation, exercise and mental enrichment.
Our dogs predominantly have working-breed ancestry and are intelligent, active and highly people-orientated. They thrive with owners who enjoy involving their dogs in everyday life, whether that means walks, adventures, training, outings or simply spending plenty of time together at home.
Previous experience with large, intelligent or working breeds is highly regarded, although it is not essential for every puppy. A willingness to learn, realistic expectations and commitment to ongoing training are equally important.
Our dogs are not suited to spending their lives alone in the backyard. Without appropriate companionship, exercise and mental stimulation, an intelligent working-breed mix can quickly become bored and may develop unwanted behaviours such as digging or destructive behaviour.
They generally do exceptionally well with other compatible dogs of a similar size and energy level for companionship, particularly dogs of the opposite sex. However, another dog is not essential where their family has plenty of time to meet their social, physical and mental needs.
A secure, well-fenced yard is important. While our dogs are not typically known for being escape artists, many enjoy digging and some can be surprisingly talented climbers!
They are not generally nuisance barkers, although they certainly aren’t always quiet. With their Siberian Husky heritage in particular, many can be wonderfully talkative when excited and will happily let you know when they have something to say. They may also alert their family to unfamiliar people or activity around the home.
Above all, the ideal Dogs in Wolfsuits home is one looking for an intelligent, affectionate and involved companion and is ready to put in the time and commitment needed to help that puppy grow into the very best dog they can be.
